At Etobicoke Humane Society, we believe in one thing – every cat deserves a second chance and a true cat lover understands that. The cats at the shelter may be shy, uncertain, on their guard or sometimes just wondering what wrong they may have done to be there. They need your love and support to become loving cats once again. Take a chance on them.

Each cat has a unique personality so we encourage the potential parents to read through their description and visit them personally before making the final decision, or email cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com for more information. Please pay special attention to the description where it specifies whether the cat is in foster or at the shelter. If the cat is in foster, simply fill out an online cat adoption form, and we can arrange a visit for you to meet the cat before deciding.

Cats available for adoption at the shelter can be visited at below times,

Monday to Friday:
10:30AM to 11:30AM
1:00PM to 4:00PM

Saturday to Sunday:
10:30AM to 4:00PM

You can also meet our cats outside of these hours by appointment – just email cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com or fill out an online cat adoption form.

Please note: Kittens are NOT available for viewing between 2:00pm-3:00pm daily as they have an extra rest period during this time.

To adopt a cat, please complete the online Cat Adoption Form. An adoption coordinator will then contact you to arrange a time to meet and discuss the cat adoption process. Weekends are the best times to visit since adoption coordinators are on site. Please note that part of the adoption process is seeing how each member of your household interacts with the cat, so do bring your whole family if you are dropping by on a weekend.

While we do our best to earn their trust and encourage them to reveal their personality, they all crave for one thing – a well deserving permanent home. Help us build their trust and confidence in humans once again and show them that humans can be good and kind. A loving family and the right environment can do wonders for these cats. Adopt a cat today!
