Step into Daisy's secret garden!

Tucked away behind soft blankets and quiet corners, Daisy lives in a world of gentle quiet. Like a hidden garden blooming after winter, she's a hardy little explorer who prefers to take things at her own pace, but don't be fooled by her shyness: Since starting her time in foster care, Daisy has shown that while she may still be skittish, she’s growing more confident outside the shelter. There's a brave heart beneath those soft petals!

About Daisy

  • In foster
  • Daisy's favourite pastime is beingstill buried under her blankets, where she can nap peacefully and recharge.
  • Whether from her safe, cozy hideaway or perched by a window, she enjoys observing the world—keeping a quiet eye on people and cars, like she's judging them.
  • Daisy is playful and interactive, especially when it comes to wand toys. She engages in playtime more often with people than playing alone.
  • She is gentle by nature, even when nervous.
  • Daisy has shown her independent and determined side and is comfortable sharing a space with her people while still doing her own thing.
  • If she wants to get somewhere, she will! Even if that means confidently stepping right over her foster parent to get there.
  • She is braver in a home environment than she was in the shelter, happily exploring new spaces and learning the routine around her.
  • While still skittish, she will approach to sniff hands and then dart away. That's her way of saying hello.
  • She may investigate visitors but prefers to keep a little distance, retreating when things feel too overwhelming.
  • Daisy has inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which will need to be managed with lifelong, daily medication and a special diet. She is currently working with the vet to keep her symptoms under control and will require a family who can support her medical needs.
  • This flower is easy to medicate and happily takes her pills in a pocket treat. She is a sweet girl who doesn't put up a fight.
  • Daisy is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

Daisy’s Ideal Home

  • A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.
  • She enjoys other cats when they are a good fit for her, and she has been exposed to dogs, not minding their company.
  • However, Daisy is also independent enough to go to a home without feline friends.
  • Due to her calm temperament, she could do well with other pets and respectful, older children, given proper introductions.
  • Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Daisy settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Daisy with a successful transition to her forever home.
