Adopt a Special Cat

Open Your Heart and Your Home to a Special Cat

Sometimes we rescue cats who have medical issues or behavioural quirks that make them difficult to adopt out. These cats are often overlooked in favour of younger, friendlier, or healthier animals, but they are just as deserving of finding a family of their own.

We know these cats — both their positive qualities and their challenges. We would love to talk to you about welcoming one of them into your home.

Meet Our Special Cats

Benefits of Having a Special Cat in Your Life

These cats have so much love to give and deserve a forever home of their own. Adopting one will open up space for us to rescue more Special Cats that might otherwise end up being euthanized in kill shelters. The bond you forge with a Special Cat is worth the sacrifice, and there’s nothing quite as rewarding as knowing that you’ve truly “rescued” a cat.
EHS has visiting hours, only for cats who are at our shelter. Visiting hours are 2-6pm on Saturday & Sunday. If you'd like to adopt a cat or dog (including one of our special dogs), please apply online and one of our volunteers will contact you.
