Goodbye Hamilton, hello Etobicoke! Alexia has arrived.
Unlike her famous soccer player counterpart, Alexia Putellas, who recently bid farewell to Spain and moved to England, our Alexia has remained local. Rescued from the streets of Hamilton with four kittens in tow (another rescue offered haven to this kitten quartet), this shy, brown and white, tabby girl is currently decompressing at EHS while she waits to join her next team.
About Alexia
- At shelter
- Alexia currently spends most of her time perched on her cat tree intently observing everything and everyone.
- Volunteers are helping her to become comfortable in her new environment, offering her space and time to trust human contact.
- Alexia has a great appetite! Might food be one way to her heart?
- She is a skittish cat who appears to have had minimal experience with humans.
- Alexia is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people.
- She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.
Alexia’s Ideal Home
- Given her shy disposition, Alexia would likely do best in a quiet home with no young children.
- She would benefit from having a safe space to call her own such as a cat tree or a soft cubby to curl up in.
- As her past is a mystery, regular contact with other animals is unknown.
- As we continue to get to know Alexia, her future abode will become more clear.
- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Alexia settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Alexia with a successful transition to her forever home.
