As animal lovers, we understand the immense benefits and rewards that come with providing a forever home to these furry companions. From the unconditional love they offer to the positive impact on our mental and physical well-being, adopting cats and dogs goes beyond mere companionship. Join us in celebrating the below pets by sharing their stories and encouraging pet adoption.
Pekoe is an athletic and energetic Shar-Pei/Terrier mixed breed dog. Typical of a young dog, she loves to run, jump, and play. She knows her basic commands and walks well, but can be reactive with some dogs (and squirrels of course). She can be a bit nervous and unsure in new situations but once she trusts you, you won’t find a more affectionate dog to bring into your home. Pekoe would be a great fit for an active family with experience in positive reinforcement training.
Polly is a sweet cat who’s been with EHS since 2020, and we’d love to see her go to a good home. She’s a playful girl who purrs loudly when she’s shown affection, and she definitely has a sassy side. She likes a predictable routine and will let you know if she's upset, but once she’s got her routine, don’t be shocked if you see her get the zoomies. She’s not fond of her fellow felines, but she does LOVE her people. Polly would be a perfect fit for someone looking to adopt a single cat, and would do well in an apartment or condo, as well as a home.
