Find Your Perfect Holiday Companion

As we celebrate the holiday season, there’s no better time to open your heart and home to a furry friend in need. This December, we’re thrilled to introduce two wonderful pets from the Etobicoke Humane Society who are looking for their forever homes: Biscuit and Prancer. Whether you’re an adventurer seeking a playful companion or someone looking for a quiet, cozy friend, these pets are ready to bring joy to your holiday season. Let’s meet them!

Meet Biscuit, 1 year old

Happy Dog Looking at Camera

Biscuit is a Shepherd/Lab mix we could only classify as friendly, confident and adventurous. He is happiest when he’s spending time outside, exploring or laying in his doggie pool. In fact, get him near a body of water and he’s occupied as long as you let him. Biscuit is a playful dog who’s still learning and has an easy-going personality. He does seek out human contact, but he’s just as happy to occupy himself with a toy. His ideal home would include an active family, ready to take him along for exercise and adventures. He’s the perfect companion for the adventurous type.

Meet Prancer, 8 years old

A Cozy cat looking for their forever home

You know Dasher and Dancer, but do you know Prancer? No? Well, look no further! EHS took in around 20 cats from a garage in 2019, and Prancer was later found living inside the main home. Prancer is a playful cat who also enjoys her downtime lounging around and watching cat TV. Due to her previous circumstances and unknown history with people, she is a bit skittish. While some skittish cats remain reserved in nature, Prancer is working on getting comfortable with people again. She’s started to accept pets from those she knows and is more than happy to just occupy herself with bird watching. She would do best in a calm, quiet environment that allows her to spread her holiday cheer in her own way.

If Biscuit or Prancer have you in the holiday spirit, visit the EHS website to find out more and fill out an application.
