Foster a Dog

Thank you for your interest in being a foster parent with EHS.  Currently we are only in need of foster families that meet the following criteria:

• Homes with yards (preferably fully fenced);
• Who have no other pets or young children in the home;
• Who have experience handling and are willing to take care of a medium to large sized dog (40-80lbs+);
• Live within 25 km of our shelter at 67 Six Point Rd in Etobicoke; and
• Who have access to a car to transport our dog to the vet and the shelter for visits if necessary.

Basic Requirements - Step 1 of 7

Please confirm all of the following information: *

• I live in a home with a yard.
• I have no young children in the home.
• I have no pets in the home.
• I have experience handling, and am willing to take care of a medium to large sized dog (40-80lbs+).
• I live within 25 km of EHS at 67 Six Point Rd in Etobicoke.

If you cannot confirm all of the above you do not meet our current foster criteria. You may still complete the application, but note it may take longer to screen your application and to find a foster match.

Although EHS will attempt to give an honest evaluation of the temperament of any dog you are interested in fostering, you understand that the history of a rescued dog may not be known and you may encounter some behavioural problems.
