Meet Mac and Tigger

Every month, we highlight some of our amazing animals that are looking for their forever homes. This August, we’re excited to introduce you to Mac, a resilient Saluki/Shepherd mix, and Tigger, a laid-back domestic shorthair cat. These two pets have unique personalities and are ready to bring joy and companionship to the right homes.

Mac: The Loyal and Active Tripod

Mac the Dog Looking off Camera

Mac is searching for a one-person or one-couple home where he can feel safe and loved. He’s not yet accustomed to other dogs, so he’d prefer to be the only pet in the household for now. With his expressive face and charming mannerisms, Mac is sure to be a loyal companion for life.

Mac is a 5+ year-old Saluki/Shepherd mix who made his way to EHS from Egypt. Despite losing his back left leg due to an injury, this friendly and loyal boy hasn’t let that slow him down. Mac enjoys moderate daily activity and loves nothing more than following his people around and cuddling up with them. He knows his basic commands and looks to his humans for leadership, making him an excellent candidate for further training.

Tigger: The Easygoing and Playful Feline

Trigger the Cat Looking at Camera

Tigger is an 8-year-old domestic shorthair mix with a personality as relaxed as they come. Though he’s laid-back, Tigger has a humorous and sweet side that shines through when he’s playing with his favorite toys. His agility and focus are impressive, especially when he’s in pursuit of a toy mouse.

Tigger loves food, but he’s currently on a strict diet to maintain a healthier weight. Despite this, he’s always up for some affection and belly rubs. He’ll even tolerate being groomed for a while before gently swatting you away when he’s had enough. Tigger would thrive in a quiet home without other animals or children, where he can enjoy sunbathing in a cozy window spot.
