BIO:
- Bull Mastiff mix, 2 years old (approx), Female (spayed)
- Large (80 lb), High energy
- She is an unclaimed stray from an over-crowded municipal shelter
- Stella is house-trained, microchipped and has her core vaccinations
ABOUT STELLA:
- Stella walks well, she is good with traffic and people that pass by. She is mostly indifferent to other dogs she sees on a walk unless they are reactive to her
- She knows sit, down, stay and heel and loves to practice them (she is very treat motivated which will make further training simpler)
- Loves people, she can be shy at first but once she knows you are as happy to meet her, as she is to meet you, she quickly warms up
- Stella is a playful dog, she LOVES enrichment games
- Stella is good in a car
- Small children are not recommended at this time due to unknown history and initial timidness
STELLA’S IDEAL HOME:
- Stella will require daily mental and physical exercise to keep her mind busy, regular walks and a backyard will be important for her to run around and engage in her favourite games
- She needs a family that will give her time to settle at her own pace for her confidence to grow
- She hasn’t been very vocal in the shelter and may be fine in a shared wall situation
- Stella would do best in a home where she is the only dog
