Gentle & Observant
Piglet is a calm, curious dog who balances a love of following his nose to the next adventure - with an appreciation for the simple things in life.
BIO:
- Vizsla Mix, 3.5 years old, Male (neutered)
- Medium-sized (44 lbs) and Medium-High energy
- Piglet was found as a stray and was at an over-crowded municipal shelter before coming to EHS
- He is house-trained, microchipped and has his core vaccinations
ABOUT PIGLET:
- His greetings are calm and friendly, he’s generally pretty relaxed
- Piglet walks well on leash; he is not reactive on a walk to people or other dogs, he may give some pull when he sees a squirrel but is easily redirected and will turn with you on cue
- Piglet loves a belly rub and leaning against you for more pets
- He is food motivated and responds well to obedience cues and interaction with people, making him a great candidate for positive reinforcement training
PIGLET’S IDEAL HOME:
- Piglet makes a great walking companion and would do well with a family that likes to stay active
- If his potential adopter has children in the home, it should be with children that understand that slower and calmer is the best approach
- We are prioritizing homes without other pets for Piglet to build confidence in a calm environment
- We are not recommending Piglet for a home with a cat as he has shown some prey drive
- Piglet can be vocal in his kennel when he wants attention, so we are not recommending a home with shared walls
He is looking for a fresh start with a family that can appreciate his gentle nature.
