Abby is a happy homebody who’s content simply hanging around with her closest people. She’s well-mannered, responsive to commands, and gets along wonderfully with other animals.

BIO: 

• Border Collie/Labrador Mix, 7 yrs old, Female (spayed)
• Small (25 lb)  Low-Medium energy-level
• Abby is from the Dominican Republic, adopted from us 4 years ago. She came back to us and has been in training and is doing great, her trainer will work with you to ensure a successful transition to her new home
• She is house-trained, crate-trained, microchipped and has her core vaccinations

ABOUT ABBY: 

• Abby is great on a leash; she is loose leash and shows no reactivity to other dogs or prey drive to small critters she sees on a walk
• She has not shown any signs of resource guarding, food begging or separation anxiety
• Abby is smart and knows all her obedience cues and loves to work on them with you
• Abby can be shy at first and with strangers; she does well with slow and calm greetings and at her own pace
• She is great in a car, she’ll jump right in and settle down
• She is a well-balanced dog that enjoys spending time doing her own thing and equally loves spending time close to you

ABBY’S IDEAL HOME:

• Abby’s needs are simple, she would be best in an adult-only home, where she can enjoy daily walks and time by your side. We are not recommending her for homes with children.
• Abbey may be good with another pet in the home. If her potential adopter already has a dog or cat we will arrange for a meet & greet.  She has lived well with other dogs and cats
• Abby can be vocal when she’s happy to see you, she would be better without shared walls so she can use her voice to communicate her excitement!

Abby is ready for a quiet place to call her own—a home where she can take her time, enjoy the simple things, and be close to the people she loves. 💛
