Sweet tortie with caramel patches, anyone?
Good things come in threes it is said but, unfortunately, this did not apply to Trinity’s previous living situation. Trinity was being bullied by the two younger male cats in her home, creating an understandably stressful environment for her, so her owner made the difficult decision to surrender her. This gentle girl is now ready to trade in being part of a trio to become someone’s one and only instead.
About Trinity
- In foster
- Tortoiseshells are known to be cat companions with distinct character and charm, and Trinity is no exception!
- A potential adopter should expect to give Trinity some time to warm up in her new environment, and with new people, but once she is comfortable, Trinity can be adventurous. She’s often going off to find all the best spots to relax in her home. She loves a nook!
- If you like a conversation over your morning coffee, this chatty cat may be the one for you! She will tell you all about her night adventures, and how you should be petting her.
- Trinity may be a bit independent at times, but she also enjoys keeping her person(s) company. Trinity likes to “help” her foster while she is at the computer and now has her own chair to supervise from.
- In her spare time, Trinity loves to “make biscuits” and is an expert at “biscuiting up” all pillows that she can find!
- Trinity has been known to show a bit of “tortitude” when stressed out (such as at vet visits), but once relaxed, she is quite affectionate.
- Trinity loves head and neck scratches, and sometimes she'll accept scratches under the chin. She is okay with light tail strokes, and good with pets all along her back, and even on her tummy once you have been deemed trustworthy..
- This big-hearted feline enjoys greeting her foster family with chatting and “mrrp” sounds, giving head-butts, and is happy to receive “mucho pets” in return!
- This pretty lady is good with being brushed—but not for too long, and has only had her nails trimmed at vet appointments so far. She uses a scratching post.
- Trinity enjoys playing with feather wand toys and sitting up high in a cat condo/tree.
- In her previous home, Trinity slept on a pillow beside her owner at night.
- Trinity has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.
Trinity’s Ideal Home
- Although Trinity has shared her home with other cats before, it was not a positive experience for her, so she would likely do best as an only cat.
- Trinity is overweight and will need an adopter that can keep her on her weight loss and management journey. She is currently on a weight-loss diet at her foster home, but has a healthy appetite and is always happy to clean her plate!
- Trinity can be a bit of a scaredy-cat! Loud noises and sudden movements can send her scurrying for cover, so it would be ideal for her to have access to quiet places to retreat and feel safe in her home (blankets, covered bed, cat tree).
- She has not had any exposure to dogs or children in her previous home, but loves to receive pets from both the adults and children in her foster home.
- A cat like Trinity would benefit from a household with a calm and predictable routine which will help her to feel safe and secure.
