Orange love and quiet confidence: Oliver’s journey to a forever home.
Oliver is a sweet orange cat who brings calm, warmth, and comfort everywhere he goes. He had been a fuzzy companion for a child but was then surrendered to EHS through no fault of his own. Oliver is now looking for a new home where kindness, patience, and gentle routines will help him feel secure.
About Oliver
- At shelter
- Oliver is a very affectionate and gentle cat.
- He loves to stay near his humans and enjoys spending time with them.
- He is friendly with his family and shows affection in small, endearing ways.
- Oliver can be shy, especially around new people, and he will initially hide before coming out for a peek and gradually feeling safe enough to get comfortable.
- He is easy to pet, and he likes to be petted by hand.
- Oliver loves treats, which will help bonding feel positive and rewarding. He's also showing some interest in play and has been keeping a keen eye on the feather wand!
- Oliver is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccination.
Oliver's Ideal Home
- Oliver will flourish in a home that is steady, quiet, and loving, and where can be given space to warm up at his own pace to new people.
- He enjoys affection and does best when he can be near his humans.
- He is good with older children (aged nine and up).
- Oliver has shown some interest in other cats at the shelter, but we aren't yet certain whether he would enjoy sharing his home with another feline.
- We are not sure how well he would do in a home with dogs or other pets.
