Mission Morris—Looking for a second chance at love.
Imagine having your life turned upside down. Morris experienced this firsthand. Following the deaths of his person and feline friend, he found himself scared and alone. Understandably conflicted at this sudden change of circumstances, Morris has now made his way to EHS to find a new family to call his own. Following a brief period in a loving foster home, where he was able to decompress, and a short stint at the shelter, this handsome, ginger boy is adjusting to life in his current foster home.
About Morris
- In foster
- Morris is a very affectionate cat who loves to sit on any lap that is available. No blanket is required when Morris is around!
- He loves pets on his head, but will tolerate body pets. He might even raise his paw or grab his foster mom’s hand when he wants you to continue petting him. How cute is that?
- When Morris is in a spot he should not be, it is best to lure him away with treats or the laser as he does not appreciate being picked up.
- It is so heartwarming to see him so content after the trauma he has experienced. While warming his foster mom’s lap, he often purrs, makes biscuits, and drools in pure bliss. This is what rescue is all about!
- Morris tends to become easily excited, giving a gentle nip or swat without claws when he wishes to move on. Potential adopters should be aware of his body language to keep interactions positive.
- He enjoys wand toys and “lives” for the laser toy. He will appear out of nowhere at the mere sound of the clinking of the attached chain! He sure is an energetic fellow!.
- Morris recently paraded around his foster home showing off the mouse he “caught” for all to see. There’s never-ending fun with this boy!
- He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.
Morris's Ideal Home
- As Morris can become overstimulated, a quiet home without children would be the best fit.
- We are unsure about a feline companion at this point as he was only just beginning to venture outside his kennel when at the shelter.
- It is unknown if Morris has met dogs, or other animals for that matter.
