Mission Morris - Looking for a second chance at love.

Imagine having your life turned upside down. Morris knows this firsthand. Following the deaths of his person and feline friend, he found himself scared and alone. Understandably conflicted at this sudden change of circumstances, Morris has now made his way to EHS to find a new family to call his own. Following a brief period in a loving foster home, where he was able to decompress, and a short stint at the shelter, this handsome, ginger boy is adjusting to life in his current foster home.

About Morris

  • In foster
  • Morris is a very affectionate cat who loves to sit on any lap that is available.
  • He loves pets on his head, but prefers that his tail not be touched. He might even raise his paw when he wants you to continue petting him. How cute is that?
  • Morris tends to become easily excited, giving a gentle nip or swat without claws when he wishes to move on. Potential adopters must be aware of his body language (e.g., tail swishing) to keep interactions positive.
  • While at the shelter, Morris enjoyed wand toys and played until he tired out any volunteer who decided to engage him in this fun. He sure is an energetic fellow!.
  • When in his temporary foster home, Morris would sleep on his foster mom’s bed and loved sitting on her lap. You might well be in for a lap dweller yourself!
  • He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

Morris's Ideal Home

  • As Morris can become overstimulated, a quiet home without children would be the best fit.
  • We are unsure about a feline companion at this point as he was only just beginning to be allowed to venture outside his kennel when at the shelter.
  • It is unknown if Morris has met dogs, or other animals for that matter.
  • EHS will offer a short foster-to-adopt period before finalizing the adoption to assist Morris with successfully transitioning into a forever home. During this time, our skilled volunteers will offer support to the potential adopters as they get to know Morris and help ensure everyone settles in comfortably together.

Could you be the one to offer Morris the new beginning he so deserves? He has suffered immense loss and is looking to find his person, once again. Schedule a virtual chat today — he is totally worth the click.
