A lynx in the wild is usually elusive and prefers a mostly solitary life, but our loveable Lynx is looking for his next home with people (perhaps with YOU?) and on planet Earth!
Surrendered to EHS from a multi-cat home, Lynx is part of the “Constellation Cats” and his constellation is named after the animal. He and the others in his group were understandably timid and nervous when they first arrived at the shelter, but Lynx was quick to prove himself to be the bravest of the bunch! Lynx and his companions have all settled in well at the shelter and are now showing us what bright and shining stars they all are!
About Lynx
- At shelter
- This super sweetie may be shy at first, but Lynx is usually quick to warm up to visitors and shows you just how affectionate and fun-loving he can be!
- Lynx enjoys pets and chin scratches by hand, and in return, he may also show you his appreciation by purring.
- Lynx loves to play with a ball or wand toy and he takes his playtime very seriously. When Lynx “captures” a toy, he will sometimes make lynx-like growls, but don’t be afraid—his growls while playing have been described as “very cute.”
- This beautiful boy is used to being brushed regularly and he is happy to buff his own nails on a cardboard scratcher.
- Lynx slept in a bed with his previous owner (and other cats) at night.
- Lynx has been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.
Lynx's Ideal Home
- As Lynx has been described as a curious cat who loves to play, he would be happy in a home with places to explore and someone who has some time to play with him.
- This gentle boy got along very well with the other cats in his previous home, so it is recommended that he go home with a cat companion (maybe Hydra, Norma or Vela?), or to a home that already has a feline-friendly cat in residence.
- Lynx had experience with younger children in his previous home and he was good with them.
- Lynx has not had any exposure to dogs or other pets, so we don’t know how he would do with them.
