A lovely orange Lily, just in time for summer!
Lily’s owner dropped her off at a friend’s house before leaving for a long vacation, but he never returned and the family with whom Lily was staying was unable to keep her. This beautiful flower, scared and shy, was then transplanted to EHS. We are now showering her with the love and attention she needs to decompress and prepare for her forever home, where we know she will bloom.
About Lily
- At shelter
- Lily was understandably scared upon her arrival at the shelter. She had always lived as a solo cat, so to see so many other felines along with new humans was overwhelming for her. One day at a time, sweetie.
- Our volunteers describe Lily as “friendly and playful.”
- She enjoys pets by hand, but behind her ears is a no-go zone; she will give a gentle hiss to indicate her discomfort.
- Lily is a vocal cat and regularly sings and chirps at the shelter.
- Fun fact! Only 20% of orange cats are female, making this girl a rare beauty.
- Lily will be spayed and is microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on core vaccinations.
Lily's Ideal Home
- Lily prefers a gentle touch, so her forever home should be child-free.
- As we get to know Lily, we will be able to determine if she would welcome a feline friend in her new home.
- Her compatibility with dogs is unknown.
Lovely Lily is here right in time for garden season. Why not come by the shelter and meet this sweet girl? It could be the beginning of a blossoming relationship.
