All you need is Dove!

Meet Dove, a beautiful cat who arrived at EHS after being rescued from a local municipal shelter. Not much is known about her history, but one thing is for sure—she is a lovely, sweet, and affectionate feline. With her gentle demeanor and friendly nature, Dove is truly an angel.

About Dove

  • In foster
  • Dove can be a little shy at first, and she'll need time to build her trust, but she eventually opens up to become your loyal nighttime companion, curling up beside you every evening like she always belonged.
  • Dove absolutely adores being petted and seeks affection from her human companions.
  • She will often approach you, in search of those comforting pets and scratches.
  • Dove thoroughly enjoys being brushed, however, it's important to note that she can sometimes get overstimulated and may swat as a result. It's just her way of expressing her limits.
  • Dove is a social girl and thrives on snuggles and lap time.
  • She is suspected to have a hard time hearing and will be startled if approached from behind, so it would be wise to alert her in some way, like tapping the floor or a nearby piece of furniture to let her know you’re there.
  • She is not shy about expressing her feelings and will climb into your lap for pets and affection.
  • She is a vocal and expressive kitty who will let you know if something doesn’t meet her standards, but her curiosity and sassiness only add to her charm!
  • She loves napping and cuddling on her favourite blanket with her stuffed banana toy.
  • Food or plates should not be left unattended around her, because she has an uncanny talent for sniffing out crumbs and sneaking sips of milk from a forgotten cup.
  • Dove experiences some challenges with personal hygiene after using the litter box. She follows a special diet to support her digestion and should be wiped every few days to help maintain her cleanliness.
  • She’s has well-managed hyperthyroidism, and her medicine is gently applied to her ear, making it quick and stress-free.
  • She has a bit of arthritis, but monthly injections keep her comfortable and ready for cuddles.
  • Dove is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

Dove's Ideal Home

  • Dove will thrive in a loving environment filled with people who can shower her with affection.
  • Dove isn't particularly fond of other cats, so it's best for her to be the only cat in the household.
  • We are uncertain how well Dove would do in a household with other pets or small children.
  • Dove is an absolute treasure with plenty of love to give and will bring so much joy and companionship to your life.
