Meet Mittens: all dressed up and ready to chat.

Surrendered by his owner due to allergies, this polydactyl prince is a charmer who wants nothing more than your affection and to tell you about his day.

About Mittens

  • At shelter
  • Mittens is a very curious and friendly fellow with humans
  • He’s vocal, sociable, and a true lap cat who loves settling in close for affection.
  • Pets, scritches, and quality time are his favourite things, and he’ll offer head rubs in return.
  • Mittens also likes to put those extra toes into action through play. He really loves it when people play with him, especially with wand toys.
  • Like many sensitive sweethearts, Mittens can become reactive if he feels uncomfortable (nip or bite), and he appreciates humans who notice his cues and give him space when he asks.
  • Mittens is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

Mittens’s Ideal Home

  • Mittens will do best with an experienced family who will shower him with the attention he craves while also being able to read his cues and respect his boundaries.
  • Mittens requires a forever home without young children or other pets.
  • EHS will offer a short foster-to-adopt period before finalizing the adoption to assist Mittens with successfully transitioning into a forever home. During this time, our skilled volunteers will offer support to the potential adopters as they get to know Mittens and help ensure everyone settles in comfortably together.

We are smitten with Mittens and we think you will be too! Come visit him and see if this special  tuxedo is the one to walk (and talk) his way into your heart.
