Call For Cat and Dog Fosters

Posted 19/11/2018 | |

The Etobicoke Humane Society is an all-volunteer run organization and because of this, there are often cases where we feel an animal would thrive better in a home with constant care and fewer animals. In instances of a special needs animal, we rely on our team of fosters to care for our animals until they find their forever home.

We provide all supplies and cover all vet expenses at our partner vet clinics. All you need is a spare room in your home to keep the foster cat or dog separated from your own pets, and access to a vehicle to transport the animal to and from our vets located in Etobicoke. Rent paid in slobbery kisses and warm snuggles.

So if you’ve ever thought about fostering, but weren’t sure, or just never got around to it, now is the time to act because you will literally be helping to save lives. Please don’t wait.

If you are interested in fostering a Cat, please apply using our Cat Foster Form or email us at  cat.foster@etobicokehumanesociety.com

If you are interested in fostering a Dog, please apply using our Dog Foster Form or email us at: dog.foster.manager@etobicokehumanesociety.com

If you cannot foster, please talk to your friends, family, and co-workers if they might be interested, or think about joining our Cat or Dog Foster Teams. You can view volunteer opportunities here: Volunteer.

EHS has visiting hours, only for cats who are at our shelter. Visiting hours are 2-6pm on Saturday & Sunday. If you'd like to adopt a cat or dog (including one of our special dogs), please apply online and one of our volunteers will contact you.
