R&R were found in a construction site with their six puppies. Regal hunted for food and Royal protected the puppies. The site was going to be occupied, so a kind lady rescued them. Their puppies have found their forever homes. Now we need to find R&R a patient foster home outside the shelter so they can eventually find their own forever home.
R&R are fearful of strangers and unfamiliar sounds. We have been working on building their confidence and they have come a long way. Regal is more confident and helps to draw out Royal. She loves to explore! Royal is fearful and skittish with loud noises and strangers. He has a loud bark but is such a gentleman. They are bonded and lean on each other for support and comfort so we don’t want to have to separate them.
We are now in urgent need to find them a patient and experience dog handler that is able to continue working on building their confidence. A couple with a quiet foster home with a large fully fenced backyard so they can learn to experience life outside the shelter and get exposure to everyday noises again.
