This October, we're shining the spotlight on two of our most charming and lovable stars: Clooney and David. These furry celebrities are ready to steal your heart and find their forever homes!
Clooney is a Sharpei/Lab/Mastiff mix, who came to us from an overcrowded shelter. Like his namesake, George Clooney, he is a real gentleman! He’s polite and quiet until he needs to greet, at which point he puts on his friendly charm. He is a real go with the flow guy, with low-medium energy and the classic “gentle giant” disposition, Clooney will make his new family very happy. He is well suited for a family that will spend lots of time outdoors where he can take in the world and would likely do well in a variety of home environments.
David, named after Bowie, was rescued from the cold streets of Hamilton, initially hesitant and afraid of his new environment. Life in foster has allowed him to connect with his inner kitten and enjoy his days playing with toys. He loves being near his people and being brushed for hours, he may even serenade you with his stellar vocals. David is a creature of habit and likes sunning himself by the window in the morning, napping in the afternoon, and playing in the evening. A quiet, adult-only home with no other pets would be best for David as it takes him a while to warm up to strangers.
David has FIV, which shouldn’t affect him much as long as he’s properly cared for with vet checkups twice a year. He also lives with stage 2 kidney disease, easily managed with a special diet, and does not require medication at this time.
