As we welcome the fresh energy of spring, it's the perfect time to open your heart to a new companion. This month, we’re highlighting some very special pets who are looking for a place to call home. Whether you're searching for a playful spirit or a calm, loyal friend, our featured animals are ready to bring love and warmth into your life. Please consider adopting one of the many cats and dogs at EHS who are still waiting for their forever family. For now, let’s meet our featured pets!
Miley is a confident and affectionate domestic shorthair. She prefers the single life, basking in all the attention her family can give her and not wanting to share. She is a playful cat, chasing her toys and exploring her surroundings whenever she can. She can be easily overwhelmed in her environment and is therefore currently on medication to calm reactive tendencies. Miley has some funny quirks but we know she would thrive if she gains a family who can give her some security and time to settle in.
Mac has been in our care for almost three years and we think it’s time he found a forever family. He’s a Saluki-Shepherd mix and a known cuddler who’s happiest when he’s around his people. Mac is missing one of his back legs which was amputated after an injury, making him a tripod dog, but it doesn’t slow him down. He still loves to run and play and it’s like he doesn’t know he’s different from any other dog.
Mac has received training while in our care and he looks to people for guidance. He would do best in a home with just a couple or a single person. Could this be you?
