Limited visitation for cats. See Details HERE
The 9th annual Leashes by the Lake on September 21st was an overwhelming success! Mother Nature was on our side as the sun was shining and we had one last taste of summer weather for our Pet Fest and Walk-a-thon.
We were so thrilled to see people and their dogs enjoying the day, eating tasty food and treats and taking part in our activities. And new this year was an online auction, which was extremely successful. The big items bid on were two WestJet tickets to anywhere WestJet flies, a Dyson vacuum, a Broil-Mate barbeque, a diamond necklace, and services from The Spa at The Old Mill.
Overall, our whole event raised more than $20,000! This is an overwhelming success and approximately $3,000 more than last year.
These funds will go directly back into the care of our animals and the operation of the shelter. We’ll be able to use this money to help feed our dogs and cats, make sure they get proper veterinary care and have a safe and comfortable place to call home while they wait for their forever family.
We want to say a special thank you to Freedom Mobile at Lakeshore Mimico for being our presenting sponsor. We also want to thank all of our other sponsors and vendors for coming out and making the event so much fun:
