Meet Hades the Husky Mix

Pet Spotlight of Hades

Special Pet Spotlight

He’s got lots of puppy energy, an adorable face and tons of love to give. So why can’t we find Hades a home?

Hades came to us back in October from a shelter in Quebec. He’s energetic and loves people and is also very smart. Does he need a little bit of training to work on his manners? Definitely, but he’s just a 1-year-old, so that’s not unusual for a puppy his age.

But we’re having trouble finding him a home and we think he’s being overlooked because of his medical history.

When he arrived in our care, we were told he had been suffering from seizures. We had him checked out by a vet right away and they quickly put him on medication, which he takes easily. Since that time, he hasn’t had a single episode and is otherwise completely healthy.

We’re now looking for that special person who can look past his history of seizures and is able to see Hades for the amazing dog that he is.

Right now, because of his high-energy nature, we’re recommending he be the only pet in the home and he’d probably do best with a family without small children (at least until he grows out of his puppy stage). He’d fit right in with someone who likes to stay active as he’ll need lots of exercise and time outdoors. If you think you could give Hades the home he deserves, please contact his Adoption Co-ordinator Sue at suejp.ehs@gmail.com.
