Raven is a young, inquisitive and active dog. The kind of dog who is destined to become your loyal lifelong companion and adventure buddy.
BIO:
- Labrador Mix, 1 year, Female
- Medium-size (55 lbs), Medium-energy
- Raven was found as a stray and was at an over-crowded municipal shelter before coming to EHS
- She is house-trained, microchipped and has her core vaccinations. She will be spayed soon.
ABOUT RAVEN:
- Raven is learning her leash skills and gaining confidence for longer walks
- Raven is a real smarty-pants who loves enrichment games and working on her obedience skills - she already knows sit, stay, and drop-it
- As a young dog, she is still a little bit shy in unfamiliar surroundings, her confidence is growing every day and will continue to especially when she settles into her own home
- Outside she is playful and bouncy and loves a game of fetch and playing with her toys
- Raven can become excited and may jump up to greet people, but will respond well to consistent training and redirection (especially when treats are involved!)
RAVEN’s IDEAL HOME:
- Raven will thrive with an active family who enjoys walking and spending time outdoors. A backyard - at a year old she is still in her puppy stage and she loves to do her zoomies
- She is a little shy, so she needs a family that will give her time to settle at her own pace to let her confidence grow
- She will need obedience training which will not only help build a bond with her new family, it will also set her up for success as she grows
- Raven would do better with older children until she learns not to jump, positive reinforcement training will help with this
- Raven is a quiet dog and may do well in a shared wall situation
- She may be fine with a dog (of similar energy and temperament) or a cat, if her potential adopter has pets in the home we’ll arrange for a meet and greet
