Etobicoke Humane Society Launches Pennies For Paws Fundraiser
As the penny begins to disappear from the pockets of Canadians, the Etobicoke Humane Society launches its Pennies for Paws fundraiser. The shelter is asking the community to collect their pennies to raise critically needed funds as the demand for services at EHS continues to grow.
“We have an urgent need for funds at our shelter and our Pennies for Paws fundraiser is a simple way to raise money and clear the clutter from your wallets,” said Pia Lauretti, President of the Etobicoke Humane Society. “Donations will provide veterinary care, vaccinations and spay/neuter operations for our growing number of animals in need.”
The Etobicoke Humane Society is an independent, all volunteer-run, federally registered charity serving the Etobicoke community since 1987. Its mission is to protect, care for and advance animal welfare. EHS rescues injured, abused and abandoned animals and has a strict no-kill policy. EHS operates entirely on donations and fundraising initiatives with no government funding. EHS is also an independent shelter not affiliated with Toronto Animal Services nor the Toronto Humane Society.
