Rain, rain, don’t go away!

This beautiful boy was surrendered due to allergies and is ready to weather the storm of change and find his fur-ever home!

About Rain

  • In foster
  • Rain is a handsome grey tabby who is adjusting wonderfully to his foster home. He has really opened up to his foster parents, and is no stranger to slow blinks and big purrs! Although it takes a little time and space, he is also starting to warm up to guests.
  • Rain has a calm demeanor and despite his name and colour, he loves to lay in the sun.
  • However, when he is ready for playtime, he means business! He loves playing with his wand toy, chasing sun reflections bouncing off a phone, and watching cat TV birds! He will also play all by himself with some of his favourite toys when he is in the mood.
  • He is also food-motivated, and will even wake up if anyone mentions the word "treat"!
  • In the morning, he will run through and rub up on your legs excitedly for breakfast.
  • Although he isn't a lap cat, Rain is very affectionate and adores being pet on his head, belly, and neck. He will lean on you while you pet him, close his eyes in bliss, and then open them if you stop to encourage you to keep going. Of course, he is also a huge fan of butt pats!
  • Rain is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

Rain’s Ideal Home

  • Rain needs a loving owner who will tend to him gently and with patience as he continues to adjust to his new surroundings.
  • Rain will do best in a quiet home as he is sensitive to loud noises, and ironically, water and the sound of running water like showers and sinks.
  • At this point, we believe Rain would do best as a solo cat as he does not like the smell of other animals.
