Paprika - a dash of spice or a dollop of cream?
Like her name, Paprika brings a quiet heat: subtle, warm, and touched with mystery. She came to EHS after being found wandering the streets with a fellow kitten friend. Not much is known about her past, but it's clear there's a lovable little soul behind the spice. With patience, safety, and love, we believe her true flavours will shine through.
About Paprika
- At shelter
- Paprika is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.
- Paprika is currently enrolled in EHSs socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people.
- She was initially shy, reserved, and understandably unsure of new people, however, volunteers have noticed gradual positive changes in her and believe she is a sweet kitty waiting to blossom.
- She is now hesitantly accepting gentle pets on her forehead and cheek.
- Paprika enjoys the back-scratcher and leans in for more!
- When she is relaxed, she lounges in her cubby with her belly exposed which is a quiet sign of trust.
- Paprika happily accepts treats (a girl's gotta have her snacks)!
- Volunteers are taking things at her pace, and she's already showing small but meaningful steps forward.
- Paprika is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.
Paprika's Ideal Home
- A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.
- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Paprika settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Paprika with a successful transition to her forever home.
- While she was rescued with a kitten, she doesn't appear to be interested in the cats at the shelter. She could be adopted into a single-cat household or with a cat-friendly feline resident.
Give Paprika some time and patience and she'll show you the soft, sweetheart she's cautiously hiding. Are you ready to enjoy this pretty girl’s burst of flavour? If so, fill out an adoption application today!
