Hola Miguel!
Small but mighty Miguel came to EHS along with his kitten companion, Jude, after they were rescued from a yard. Initially, Miguel was hesitant and hissy with volunteers, but it didn’t take long for him to decide that humans are not so bad after all—especially when food is involved!
About Miguel
- At shelter
- Kittens like Miguel have lots of energy!
- It’s unclear how much contact Miguel has had with humans, but he has made great progress to become much more comfortable around our volunteers.
- He will happily accept pets by hand and show his appreciation with a sweet purr.
- He may give an obligatory hiss when he meets new people, but it’s all for show. Volunteers say it’s adorable! He really is a gentle soul at heart.
- He spends a lot of time lounging with his buddy, Jude, in the cat cubby.
- Miguel is the more confident of the two kittens. He was described as “spunky” during his time at a municipal shelter before arriving at EHS. We’ve found that he is the brave one who will come out of the cubby to greet people…and look for treats!
- Miguel is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up-to-date on core vaccinations.
Miguel's Ideal Home
- It’s important that Miguel either go to a home where there is already a feline-friendly cat in residence or be adopted with another compatible EHS cat.
- Kittens require ample and mindful stimulation, through play, from their humans.
Miguel’s past may be murky, but his future is clear: He’s in the market for a loving, forever home. Drop by the shelter to say “Hola” to Miguel and apply to adopt him!
