Limited visitation for cats. See Details HERE
Would you like to volunteer your organizational and leadership skills to help us find forever homes for homeless dogs and cats? The Etobicoke Humane Society (EHS) is an independent, all-volunteer, organization with a mission to protect, care for and advance the welfare of animals. We have a fantastic team of volunteers and we continue to grow. 2017 was another record setting year as we helped even more dogs and cats find loving homes.
To maintain our growth and continue helping animals in need, we are looking for a volunteer who could provide leadership to our HR function. The key role of the HR manager is to develop the EHS people practices to ensure we meet both the needs of the EHS mission along with the needs of the volunteers and members. This is a part time volunteer position requiring about 3-5 hours per week plus any time the person would like to spend doing hands on work or any other volunteer activity. This position reports to the EHS Managing Director of Shared Services.
Most of the support can be done remotely and the hours are totally flexible. Key skills and experience for the role are basic HR skills and working with people (and pets!). If you are eager to contribute to our cause then that is the most important skill needed.
The rewards of this role are that you get to work with a great group of people while providing a huge benefit to the animals in our care. This is also an opportunity to develop and practice your HR skills. You will be making a difference to the animals and to the community. The Etobicoke Humane Society is well positioned to continue to grow and improve and you would be a big part of that change.
