Help EHS Win $20,000!

For the entire month of June, every $1 donated to EHS through Canada Helps (with a minimum $3 donation) will enter us into the Great Canadian Giving Challenge!

This Challenge couldn’t come at a better time, as our Give What You Can campaign is in full swing, aiming to raise $85,000 to make up for funds lost due to cancelled events.

As a small shelter that relies entirely on fundraising and donations, $20,000 would make a huge difference in our ability to continue to provide a high level of care for our animals. Currently, one of our biggest needs relates to multiple litters of kittens, as spring and early summer are considered “kitten season.” Kittens require special kitten food, non-clumping litter, heating pads, kitten milk replacer (for emergency situations) and more. We’re expecting this year to last much longer as many spay and neuter/clinics and Trap, Neuter, Release programs weren’t operating due to COVID-19.

And as always, our animals require veterinary care, which eats up a large part of our budget.

Remember, when you donate to EHS, all funds go directly back into the care and housing of our animals as we’re an all-volunteer organization.
