Limited visitation for cats. See Details HERE
It’s that time of year when our clocks go back one hour to standard time, and we get to enjoy an extra hour of sleep. But this can be a little confusing for our furry friends since they don’t know how to tell time. Instead, they go by their body’s internal clock, or circadian rhythm. Circadian rhythm follows a 24 hour cycle, responding to light and dark in the animal's environment.
To help your pet get used to the time change, try delaying their wake-up, bathroom, and feeding times leading up to the time change, so their schedules get adjusted. Doing so will help minimize any anxiety or confusion they might have, and minimize any disruption to the routine they are used to.
And remember, the time change will mean it gets dark even earlier, so make sure to be careful when going for walks with your dog in the evening. It’s a good idea to wear reflective clothing or walk with a safety light to make sure you can be seen by drivers.
