Cat in Snowy Window

Meet December!

December was named for the month he was found outside, after showing up in a family’s backyard. This family already had a cat, who wasn’t looking for a roommate, so December was brought to EHS and we’re now helping him find his forever home.

December is a smart and social guy but at the shelter he was overstimulated by the noise and smells of other animals. We placed him in a foster home, where he’s blossomed into a truly wonderful and affectionate companion.

He likes to spend a lot of time around his person/people. And is also quite a lap cat who often nestles his head under his person’s chin. But he’s also an alpha cat and is perfect for someone who loves a cat with a strong personality – he is never boring!

Meet the Bulldog Brothers!

Chauncey

Chauncey, Humphrey, and Quincey are three adorable one-year old bulldog mixes from the GTA. First surrendered to a city shelter, the bulldog brothers came to EHS in March so that we could help them find forever homes. Ever since they arrived at the shelter these boys have stolen our hearts.

These three pups love people – even strangers are greeted with a wagging tail and an invite to give them a pet. Quincey’s favorite thing to do is use his foster dad as a big pillow.

When the boys first arrived, they didn’t know how to play. But now Chauncey’s favourite thing to do is grab a new toy from our toy box whenever he passes by and Humphrey can’t get enough of his favourite purple squeaky ball.

The bulldog brothers are still learning about the world and react fearfully to uncertain situations and other dogs. Trainers are working with the boys right now to help them meet new sights, sounds, and dogs with confidence. They are already growing in leaps and bounds.

Quincey

These boys need someone who has experience with large dogs and who is willing to build their confidence and work on their reactivity. Until we can find the bulldog brothers families of their own, we are investing significantly in their rehabilitation.

We are seeking experienced fosters for the bulldog brothers as well as forever homes. These pups need homes with no other animals and with access to fully fenced yards where they can run and play.
