Introducing the Pawsitivity Challenge!

We have an exciting new fundraising activity for our youngest supporters!

The Pawsitivity Challenge is an activity-based fundraiser for kids, that gives them a chance to raise money for EHS, while learning valuable lessons about how to care for animals.

The Challenge is simple: kids gather donations from sponsors for completing activities or tasks related to caring for pets. This can be walking a dog, changing kitty litter, or feeding their pet. 

The Challenge will run from June 15 - 28, there is no deadline to sign up. Simply choose 7 days within that timeframe to complete your challenge. The person who fundraises the most will win a $100 VISA gift card! (Winner will be announced Monday June 29, 2020).

Are you up for the challenge?

Here’s what you’ll need:

1. A pet to care for (Your family pet or your favourite stuffed animal)
2. Dedication and commitment.
3. An Activity Tracker of your accomplishments (We have provided a sample tracker for you below)
4. A person or people who will sponsor your activities.

Here are your daily pawsitive activities:

They are listed below but you can be as creative as you like with additional activities.

• Feed your pet. Don’t forget to measure the amounts and provide fresh water often.
• Brush/comb/groom your pet.
• Walk or play with your pet.
• Teach your pet a trick or a rewarded behaviour.
• Design and create a home-made toy.
• Clean up after your pet.

Here’s how to get started:

1. Set up your own fundraising page by clicking HERE. It’s super easy. You’ll need to enter your information, your pet’s name and details and upload a photo if you can. (This information can only be viewed by people that you choose.) 
2. Set your fundraising goal.
3. Share your page by sending emails to people who can support you. (Example: Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Friends, etc.)
4. We would love to get updates on your accomplishments, if you want to take pictures throughout the challenge please tag @etobicokehumanesociety on Facebook or Instagram and use #ehspawsitivitychallenge.

Grand Prize:

The top fundraiser will win a $100 VISA gift card!

All donations and fundraising dollars raised in this challenge will go towards our Give What You Can Campaign which is aiming to raise $85,000 to replace money lost due to COVID-19 restrictions.

As an all-volunteer organization, all funds raised will go directly back into the care of our animals and the operation of the shelter.
