On Saturday, August 10 we opened the doors of our small shelter with a big heart for a special open house and we had an unbelievable response! More than 265 people visited us to learn about volunteer opportunities, meet our adoptable cats and dogs and help kick off a new fundraising and volunteer recruitment campaign.
We were overjoyed by the show of support, and want to say thank you to everyone that came out!
Our volunteers provided shelters tours to attendees, showed off our dogs and cats and talked about the many volunteer opportunities we have available.
We also received generous donations and raised an amazing amount of money that’s going towards our $10,000 fundraising goal.
As a shelter that relies entirely on donations and fundraising, it’s amazing to see so many people are interested in what we do and want to learn how to help out.
Our dogs and cats were excited to see all the people, and two of our cats found their forever homes!
If you missed our open house, you can still show your support by contributing to our fundraising campaign. All money raised will go towards the care of our animals and the operation of the shelter.
