Cutie orange-and-white boy Garfield is being reluctantly surrendered along with his roommate, Charlotte, because their owners are moving back to England and didn’t want to put this charming duo through the stress of an international move.
About Garfield
At shelter
Garfield can be initially shy, but becomes very loving once he’s comfortable. He will follow his person around.
Like his cartoon character namesake, this boy loves naps!
Garfield is the ultimate “shoulder cat” because he loves to ride along with his person.
He enjoys pets, especially cheek and bum scratches. Volunteers say he could sit there all day and accept affection. You can touch his tail, but his belly is a “no-go” zone.
Playful Garfield can be a little shy, but has been described as “friendly” and a “really nice” cat.
He loves to play with wand toys, jingle balls, and toilet paper rolls.
Garfield is a handsome boy and enjoys being brushed to look his best.
Garfield is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.
Garfield's Ideal Home
Friendly Garfield is purr-fect for first-time adopters.
He would do well in a home with children ages 4 and older.
Garfield can be adopted on his own or with another compatible cat. (Interested in Charlotte? Check out the two-for-one adoption pricing!)
His compatibility with dogs is unknown.
Will you be the one who will disdain Mondays and dieting and love naps with Garfield? Clear a spot on your shoulder and come by the shelter today to see if this orange sweetie is the perfect fit for you!
