When life gave her lemons, Misha made lemonade!

This resilient girl has had some ups and downs lately. Misha’s journey to EHS began in 2025 through a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program, where her gentle nature quickly stood out. She was adopted in 2026 but was returned to us recently when her owner moved to a pet-free home. While Misha readjusts to shelter life, we are determined to find this lovely girl the forever home she deserves.

About Misha

  • At shelter
  • Misha is a sweet, tender-hearted girl but she’s still working to become a confident, socialized cat.
  • She is shy and cautious around people. She prefers quiet corners or sitting on the cat tower to observe the world around her.
  • She enjoys gentle cheek, chin, and back rubs. It may be best to start with a back-scratcher if you are just meeting her, but petting her by hand is fine once Misha feels more comfortable with you.
  • She enjoys playing with wand toys, as well as soft toys she can grab and kick like a mouse. A ball with a bell always captures her attention!
  • Misha is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

Misha's Ideal Home

  • Misha got along well with cats at the shelter and could be adopted into a home with a friendly feline companion. She would also do well as the sole cat to reign in the household.
  • She would benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.
  • Misha may take time to warm up and become comfortable around new people. Her forever family should have a safe space available where Misha can decompress once she moves in, and also be prepared for her to regress initially.
  • Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help her settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Misha with a successful transition to her forever home.

Misha is working hard to make her next chance at happiness come true. Are you looking for a gentle girl with a lot of love to give? Misha may be the one for you! Drop by the shelter and meet her today.
