Bringing people and pets together!
We’re hosting a special fun walk to support our shelter. Help raise funds for our amazing dogs and cats by putting together a team, or joining as an individual, and each step you take will make a real difference in their lives.
How it works
Sign up for Steps for Pets and reach out to family, friends, co-workers, and others to ask for pledges toward your walk.
Then, on June 13, join us at Etienne Brulé Park for either a one kilometre or two kilometre walk with other animal lovers, and you’ll be helping us care for the pets that make their way to EHS for a second chance at finding a home.
This is a family and pet-friendly event, and we’d love to see your pets join in on the fun. Bring your dog to have them also walk for their canine friends in our care. Dress them in their best outfits and snap pics along the way and at the finish line! We’ll have snacks for everyone to enjoy as a reward!
Who you’ll be helping
As a 100% volunteer run animal rescue, every dollar raised goes toward the care of our animals or the running of our shelter.
That means you’ll be helping dogs like Elmer, Cannoli, Stella, Sloop, and Roxi, who are all available for adoption and ready to find their families.
You’ll also help Golden, Cactus, David, Ebony, Henry and the dozens of other cats who are patiently waiting to start their next chapter.
While our shelter pets are waiting, we make sure they’re all healthy, fed, and feel comfortable and safe with lots of exercise and attention from our volunteers. That’s only possible through donations and fundraising from our supporters.
