Donate to EHS on Giving Tuesday! Start the holiday giving season off right by contributing to the care of our shelter pets, and have your dollars go further thanks to a matching donor!
Each year, the Tuesday after Black Friday is recognized as a global day of giving and volunteering. For charities such as EHS, it’s an important day of fundraising that can make a big difference to the lives of our animals.
And this year, thanks to a generous supporter, Global Alliance Worldwide Chauffeured Services Ltd., the first $2,500 raised on Giving Tuesday will be matched, doubling your donation.
This isn’t the first time Global Alliance has stepped up to support EHS, and we are very grateful for everything they do for our small shelter.
Why Your Gift Matters
At EHS, we believe every animal deserves a second chance. As a 100% volunteer-run, no-kill shelter, we rely entirely on the kindness of our community to provide care, shelter, medical treatment, and love to our rescue cats and dogs.
This includes Daisy, who’s been in our care for 1,396 days and counting.
Daisy came to us from a municipal shelter after being rescued from a multi-cat situation. She had little contact with people, and was understandably quite skittish.
Our volunteers have worked with her and she’s started to get more confident. And we’ve discovered that she has a playful side and especially loves wand toys. She still needs time to warm up to people and likes to be introduced slowly, but she’s ready to settle down with a caring family that will allow her to continue to grow and become more comfortable. And while she is slow to open up to new people, she likes other cats and doesn’t mind dogs.
Daisy has inflammatory bowel disease, and needs a special diet, along with a daily medication. But she happily takes her medicine in a pill pocket, just like a treat!
We’re hoping Daisy’s happy ending is coming soon, as she deserves a home and a family. Until then, we’ll continue to make sure she gets the best care possible, because when you give to EHS, you’re not just making a donation — you’re giving an animal a chance at a new life.
