We have many more cats than posted on our website - all shapes, sizes, colours and personalities! And all very in need of a loving forever home! If you'd like to make an appointment to come and meet our cats and discuss adoption please call us at (416) 249-6100 and leave a message on the cat adoption line. We will return your call within 24 hours. Thanks for supporting us through this transition, our website will soon be up to date.

Helder

Helder is one of 13 cats from our 3rd Cruelty hoarding case of the year. He's young but has already gone through entirely too much. The flea infestation in his home and on his body was the worst case our Cruelty Officers had EVER seen. Ever. Fortunately he's been treated and nursed back to health by our volunteers. He's done extremely well with the transition into the shelter and is one of our male cats that doesn't seem to have an issue with anything but limits on playtime. Helder is an out-going, affectionate, playful young cat who has so much love and life left in him - looking at him now you would never know he'd been through so much. He is vaccinated, micro-chipped, neutered, and ready for adoption!

Quiggly

Although his photo might make you think he is shy - Quiggly is not. He came to us from a home of 13 cats that were so neglected and so infested with fleas that they had to be given antibiotics to heal the wounds from scratching. He has taken a bit of time, but Quiggly has come out of his shyness beautifully. He's now enjoying quiet cuddle time one on one with our volunteers. He really really really hates being in a cage though, and he lets us know with his sad cries that break hearts in the shelter. Quiggly deserves a home filled with unconditional love and patience and we won't rest until we find that special place just for him. Quiggly is vaccinated, micro-chipped, neutered, and ready for adoption!

Sedona

Our little Sedona....his name should give the impression of a peaceful kitten that will curl up beside you as you do Yoga...wrong! Sedona definitely has peaceful moments, but in between them there is purring and prancing and pouncing and other things that begin with a 'p' but that's far too much detail for our write-ups! Sedona is adorable, plain and simple. He was born to a ferral mom and rescued from the streets by a dog rescue group of all things...so he's lucky if nothing else! Sedona has had his first two vaccinations and we'd really love for him to have a home before it's time for his third! Sedona is ready for adoption!

Gwen

Sometimes black cats get a bad rap and that really annoys us at EHS. Profiling isn't ok for humans and it's not ok for cats either! Now that we have that out of the way we can focus on the fantastic-ness of Gwen. She is a purr-monster, it's literally like flipping a switch - when you pick her up the purring starts. Gwen was surrendered with three sisters a month ago and has been living in the lap of shelter luxury since - unlimited play time, lots of other kittens to frolick with, and volunteers to 'ooooh' and 'aaahh' over her. She's a strong little thing - ready to leap over the baby gate that separates the kittens from the rest of the shelter at any time. She can't wait to explore and she deserves a much larger space for growing up. We'd love to give that to her but that can only happen when her forever home comes-a-knocking! Gwen has been given her first two vaccinations and is ready for adoption!
